That vintage summer dress

A little question! What do you feel like is the best thing about going on holidays? For me it’s losing track of time in the cutest villages, reading at least two books and wearing all those vintage Summer dresses that have been hiding in your closet for months.

The first thing turned out a ridiculously easy thing to do in Cyprus, as there seemed to be more cute villages than Dutch tourists on the island. Our travel organization Eliza Was Here gave us a few personal recommendations, and Omodos really stood out for us. Located at the foot of the Troodos mountains, this adorable village is known for its yearly wine festival and local products for sale in the tiny streets. Lisa and I wandered around for almost an hour and were captivated by its many blue doors, cats and embroidered craftwork.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to read 2 books, since we were on a work holiday trip and I used all my extra free time for photographing and editing. But I did start another Harry Potter book, although I’ve read them all multiple times. They’re still SO good, right?!

And lastly, wearing all those vintage Summer dresses! This one was my latest score from a few weeks ago, so I obviously had to take it for a first stroll in Omodos. I chose for a look slightly inspired by the South of France, but I feel like it totally works in these warm, stony streets. A few straw accessories and my new Zara slides, and I was good to go.

Let me know what you think of this look!
