You know that feeling when you meet someone that you’ve noticed around but had never really talked to before, and suddenly you get along really great? That sometimes happens between bloggers and brands too!
When Belgian label CKS invited me to come over and discover the brand at their impressive headquarters, we immediately clicked. Not only do I love their no-nonsense approach with a casual and fun touch, their SS16 collection is right up my French tomboy-alley! We teamed up and created Selected By Polienne: a range of 10 looks carefully handpicked and styled by me. Today I’m extremely pleased to present you the first 5 looks! Excited muuuuch?
Laid back is better
What’s a better place to get inspired than a cozy and sunny coffee/lunch bar? I love working from these kind of places because I’m always a million times more inspired than when I’m at home staring at the same corner all day long. About the looks then! You know I’m not a huge fan of large prints, but I’m definitely an advocate of subtlety and sophistication, and that is exactly what this light Palm blouse and Cerise trousers radiate for me.
Next up I opted for a loungy set that you can perfectly leave the house with. That Hollywood knit cardigan really is the eye-catcher here, with its soft pastel colours and exact right amount of slouchiness. These two daytime looks are the very definition of being comfortable without compromising on style, don’t you think?
From day to night
The cool thing about this urban-feel collection is that lots of pieces are extremely versatile: they can easily be worn to the office AND dinner in the evening! How gorgeous is that neutral palmtree Maline jumpsuit for a day behind the desk? Just add a pair of heels and you’re ready to go for cocktails. (Oh, and have you seen this photo in the CKS store windows yet?!)
Next up is this super flattering striped Optica dress (you can never go wrong with stripes) and these great Foila top and skirt that you can wear together for some extra sparkle, or pull of separately if you like things a bit more casual.
