If you have studied my last inspiration post for our new house very closely, you might have noticed a few velvet pieces popping up — okay sure, they’re quite obviously present. I already got myself a dark green velvet footstool by Sissy Boy earlier this year, and for our new home in January we’re crushing really hard on a deep blue velvet couch. Agreed, at first it seemed like a crazy thing to do, and definitely a difficult piece to combine!
In my mind my ideal sofa has always been neutral (think grey, nude, beige…), so that it would blend in beautifully into my home. But once I started googling different interpretations with velvet pieces and more specifically couches, I discovered that I LOVE using the couch as an eye-catcher upon which you build the rest of the interior.
But now the tricky part: finding the perfect blue velvet sofa. Let me know if you have a secret tip!
