I’ve never been much of a shorts girl, but since last year I’m actually choosing them over skirts! Here’s 3 pairs of shorts I wouldn’t mind wearing this season.
To be honest, I think I started to dislike shorts when I got some more curves over the years. As a teenager I was used to wear those low-waist cut-off denim shorts that were super cool in the nillies, but after a while I didn’t feel really comfortable in them anymore. Turns out I just had to find my new perfect fit!
Give me anything high-waist with an A-line and I’m over the moon. These wide shorts look super cool and effortless, and can be styled in a very chic way too when you pick the right fabrics. I’ve spotted a few pairs online that would definitely do that trick for coming Summer —here you go!
These mint-coloured paperbag shorts are super adorable, don’t you think?! I’d wear these in a size up & just tighten the belt a bit more for a real cool, relaxed effect. Combine with other pastels for a super fun Spring silhouette, or tone down with a nice white crisp shirt or beige tanktop.

Next up — denim shorts! Denim can look very casual super quick, but I think these ones are an exception. The simple cut and light wash give it a very sophisticated touch. Wear with neutrals like white, black or camel to keep things chic, or go all out with floral prints and happy colours of course! You can go in all kinds of different directions with these.

And finally, the linen shorts! The very sophisticated type too, that you can wear with a blazer to create a Summer suit. The crisp linen instantly elevates any t-shirt or slipper, really. By the way, these beauties exist in a soft kaki, almost mint colour too, and that looks pretty amazing as well!
