A little while ago my friend Robin and I went to Maasmechelen Village, a well-known designer outlet in Belgium that is close to the Dutch and German borders. Both of us had never been there before so it sure was an adventure! To make a long story short: it definitely was an extraordinary shopping experience. The village is clean and especially very cozy (I felt like visiting Disneyland) because of the cute look of the stores and the many plants and trees that are around. We went on a weekday so there wouldn't be too many visitors, which turned out to be the perfect plan. The aisles were super spacious and we never had to wait at the fitting rooms. Our favourite stores? Michael Kors, Essentiel, Furla, Pepe Jeans, Karen Millen, Kipling and Rodania!

Of course we didn't go all the way over there for an Italian lunch and some sight seeing! I was invited by Maasmechelen Village to come over and experience a preview of their so called Denim Destination. The outlet offers the largest denim selection of the whole Benelux and tell me, who doesn't love a good pair of jeans? Reasons enough to celebrate this versatile material!
From September 14 until October 7 there are several activities organized and special offers provided for every visitor. Besides an extra discount on all denim brands such as CK Jeans, Diesel, G-Star, Pepe Jeans, Levi's, 7 For All Mankind and many more, there is also the Denim Garage to discover. Here you can find several art expositions and the motor brand Harley Davidson presents their very own artist who can customize your denim! Glamour rock, anyone?
Unfortunately the Denim Garage wasn't finished yet when I was there, so I couldn't really take any pictures. The official opening is this Saturday so I'll have to wait a little longer too to see the Denim Garage myself. I guess that means you'll have to discover it by yourself soon! ;-)
