HOLIDAY OUTFITS

I'm back on track, guys! My short holiday to Lac d'Annecy was pretty awesome and I feel like reborn! Of course relaxing was my priority number one, but who ever said you can't relax while looking fashionable? Or the other way round? I tried to capture most of my outfits with some quick snaps.

The first outfit is the one I wore for sitting in the car. It was a 8 hour drive so I really wanted to wear something that was comfortable and above all adjustable to the different climats. We left super early in the morning when it was pretty cold and misty in Belgium and arrived in France in the late afternoon, where we were welcomed by the sun and a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. These ripped jeans are really light and super stretchy, which was perfect for the trip. The pink trucker cap really did the trick. If you ever urge to feel like you're a super duper cool chick that spends her time road tripping through Europe or America, just wear pilot sunglasses and a pink trucker cap! Instant cool feelings.

When we arrived in the afternoon, we immediately installed ourselves at the pool to soak up some sun. Afterwards we were looking for some fancy place to eat, which turned out to be a pretty hard task (no offense to the French people, but I really hate your plastic chairs). After driving around a bit we discovered an adorable little restaurant located at a harbour. Before we knew it, we were having dinner at literally 2 meters away from the lake! The view was smashingly beautiful and the food was very tasty. If you're ever around Lac d'Annecy, you should definitely go to Le Bistrot du Port (located in the village of Sévrier) for lunch or dinner.

This basically was my uniform throughout the next day. Our pink Filles à Papa trucker caps were of course real head turners, but they were especially very useful to avoid sunstrokes!

In the evening we went to Annecy, the village after which the lake was named. This cute place was the perfect location for a late evening stroll and dinner. But when we discovered an adorable vintage store during our little walk, we immediately forgot about dinner and started fitting and ooh-and-aah'ing right away! We felt creepily much like Carrie from Sex and the City, who once said she rather bought Vogue than dinner because she felt it fed her more. Luckily in the end we did have our pizza ;-)

The village of Annecy is only a 40 minute drive away from Switzerland so the next day we jumped in our car again to visit Geneva. None of us had ever been there so we actually had no clue what to expect. When we arrived the city turned out the be quite dead, which we thought was weird for a Saturday. First we went to see the old city part and then decided to check out the lake. There we bumped into a fair that seemed abnormally huge to us. We asked some people what was going on and apparently the famous Fêtes de Genève were being held (hence the empty city)! That evening was the final evening that traditionally closed the Fêtes with the biggest and most spectacular fireworks of Europe. And hell, spectacular it was! It lasted for no longer than a complete hour! Afterwards we bought ourself a unicorn balloon to keep up the spirit while being stuck in the traffic jam later on that night. You can say that our trip to Geneva was definitely a unique one!

On our last day we went back to Annecy to see the city in daylight this time. This time we promised ourself to avoid the cute vintage shop and that turned out to be not a problem at all, because there was a market going on! The perfect moment for buying some munchies and cute souvenirs to take home. It was a bit chillier than all the other days so I wore my cotton heart dress that I bought years ago at H&M. I once showed it to you (here and here) but the length never felt too comforting. Now that it's a bit shorter, it's definitely more me. Although I don't wear it much, I still think it's adorable!
